Wellington-Smith Valley

The tiny community of Wellington sits quietly on the banks of the West Walker River on State Route 208 in northern Nevada. Just southeast of the bustling Carson Valley, Wellington offers its roughly 1,000 permanent residents a quiet lifestyle filled with small pleasures. With many home sites situated on the scenic river itself, a popular pastime in the quaint community is fishing. The town also offers an authentic cowboy bar, inn and deli, all of which give Wellington the feel of an earlier era.

In the neighborhood is Smith Valley a quaint, picturesque valley that is steeped in agriculture and ranching.
